Am I an International Student?

You are considered to be an international student if you are NOT: an Australian citizen; a New Zealand citizen; a dual citizen of any country with Australia or New Zealand; or a permanent resident of Australia. If you meet any of these criteria, you are considered to be a domestic student.

Scholarships

In order to be considered for one of the Conservatorium’s international scholarships students must submit all application material, including an audition and IELTS results, by 30 May (for semester 2 commencement) or 31 October (for semeseter 1 commencement). Applications received after these closing dates will not be considered for scholarhips.

Application Process

Step 1: Before commencing the application process, be sure you meet the entry requirements.

Step 2: Complete an online application form by searching for the degree you would like to apply for in course search, and then follow the prompts to ‘Apply’.

Step 3: Upload your audition. Please ensure your audition contains the relevant audition requirements for your instrument and degree, otherwise it will not be assessed. You will need the SID number from step 1 to complete the upload

Alternatively, live auditions are conducted once a year in several Asian countries. Please see the Audition Dates and Costs section for details.

It is important that you monitor your email account regularly to check for login/password details in order to submit the online application to the Conservatorium. Please note the login password details will be sent to you shortly after the time you submit your UAC application.

UAC on-time audition/interview applications must be received by the closing date of 27 September 2013.

Late Applications

The SCM may not always be able to accommodate late applications for auditions/interviews. Late request for  auditions/interviews may only be considered for applications lodged to UAC by end of October.
