Application Processes for UAC February Rounds

Applications for Bachelor of Music Studies in Contemporary Music Practice and Musicology Stream are available for 2017 February rounds. Make sure your UAC preferences are correct. See following instructions.

Step 1: Apply through the UAC website.

Step 2:  After you have completed Step 1, you must submit an online application directly to the Sydney Conservatorium of Music, or either of the following streams:

 Musicology Stream  OR  Contemporary Music Practice

Step 3: After you have completed Step 2, you are required to pay the Audition/Interview Administration Fee online (Non-Refundable)

Step 4: If you are applying for Contemporary Music Practice, you must now submit your Portfolio. See course information: Contemporary Music Practice Portfolio requirements.

Contemporary Music Practice Interview:
You are required to submit a portfolio and attend an interview to be considered a UAC offer. Your portfolio will need to be submitted by the following closing application dates:

  • 25 January for February UAC Round 1
  • 5 February for February UAC Round 2
  • 13 February for February UAC Round 3

The Conservatorium will contact you with a date/time for an interview should your portfolio be assessed favourably.  Successful applicants will receive their offer via UAC.

Musicology Stream Interview:
You are required to attend an interview to be considered a UAC offer. Your application will need to be submitted by the following closing application dates:

  • 25 January for February UAC Round 1
  • 5 February for February UAC Round 2
  • 13 February for February UAC Round 3

The Conservatorium will contact you with a date/time for an interview once you have paid your Audition/Interview Administration Fee online (Non-Refundable). Successful applicants will receive their offer via UAC.
