Postgraduate coursework – domestic applicants

Application closing dates

Semester 1 – 31 January of the same year

Conducting applicants:
Semester 2 2018 application closing date: 15 April 2018
Semester 1 2019 application closing date: 15 September 2018

Opera Performance applicants:
Semester 1 – 31 October of the preceding year

If you are unable to travel to Sydney for a live audition, we will accept a recording of your performance. If an interview is required, Skype will be used.


Application process

Step 1: Apply direct to the University by selecting the course. Click the ‘apply now’ option which takes you to the Sydney Student portal where you apply online and upload supporting documents.

Step 2: Include your audition material in the application if recorded/submitting a portfolio. The recording must be no longer than 4 months at the time of submitting the audition. If you wish to attend a live audition, please indicate this in the application.

Step 3: If applying in Conducting, you must also provide your materials direct to the Con. Please follow the specific pre-audition requirements here and email them to all three listed conducting staff and Ms Shauna Crick.

Postgraduate coursework – international applicants

Semester 2 – 8 July of the same year

Conducting applicants:

Opera Performance applicants:

Semester 2 (international students only) – 31 May of the same year

Am I an international applicant?

You are considered to be an international student if you are not an Australian citizen; a New Zealand citizen; a dual citizen of any country with Australia or New Zealand; or a permanent resident of Australia.

Scholarships

In order to be considered for one of the Conservatorium’s international scholarships students must submit all application material, including an audition and IELTS results, by 30 May (for semester 2 commencement) or 31 October (for semester 1 commencement). Applications received after these closing dates will not be considered for scholarships.
