Student Research Events
The Sydney Conservatorium Graduate Symposium is organised under the auspices of the Musicology Colloquium Series. This is a day-long event held on the Friday of the Conservatorium’s Special Project Week each semester. The event gives graduate students an opportunity to present aspects of their research to their peers and staff at the Conservatorium in a friendly, non-threatening environment. It is an excellent opportunity to get feedback on content and presentation style from others besides one¹s immediate supervisor, and a preparatory step before attending a national/ international conference.
Undergraduate Research Showcase
The Undergraduate Research Symposium forms an official part of the Orientation program at the Sydney Conservatorium of Music. This event showcases exceptional undergraduate research projects undertaken by students over the past year and serves to introduce incoming students to the Conservatorium culture of research and scholarship. It is a chance to hear what students have been working on, ask questions about what academic classes are like and how to go about developing your own original research projects.
