Hindemith’s Ludus Tonalis, his groundbreaking work from 1942, is the 20th century pendant to Bach’s Well-Tempered Clavier. This rarely heard masterpiece will be presented in a complete performance given by the piano class of Associate Professor Daniel Herscovitch. The work consists of a Prelude, 12 fugues in all 12 keys, separated by Interludes, with a concluding Postlude.
