Sydney Conservatorium of Music offers you the opportunity to attend a masterclass with acclaimed Guitar player, Jane Curry. You are invited to witness her working with talented students, workshopping techniques to perfect their craft in an ‘open lesson’ format.

Jane Curry

Born in the UK and now based in New Zealand, award-winning classical guitarist Jane Curry teaches at Te Kōkī New Zealand School of Music, Victoria University (Wellington). Jane balances a demanding schedule of solo and chamber music engagements with the coordination of the largest classical guitar programme in New Zealand and is sought after as a soloist, chamber musician and teacher. Jane is involved in several chamber music collaborations including the New Zealand Guitar Quartet (NZGQ) and Archi d’Amore Zelanda, and performs as a concerto soloist with orchestras both nationally and internationally. She has recorded with several record labels: Rattle (Victoria University Press), Ode and Atoll (NZ) and Acte Prealable (Poland). Her solo discography includes works by Dusan Bogdanovic, Roland Dyens, Antonio Ruiz-Pipo, and Miroslav Tadic and covers a range of chamber music repertoire from premiere recordings of works and commissions by New Zealand composers as well as established repertoire.
