Sydney Conservatorium of Music offers you the opportunity to attend a masterclass with acclaimed classical guitarist, Gian Marco Ciampa. You are invited to witness him working with talented students, workshopping techniques to perfect their craft in an ‘open lesson’ format.

Gian Marco Ciampa, graduated with top marks and an Honoured Mention in classical guitar at the Conservatory “Santa Cecilia” in Rome, with Maestro Arturo Tallini. He has been a concert performer since he was very young, and has played in several cities in the world, performing live on television and radio. In May 2015 he left for China with #CiampaBeijingTour performing with great success in concerts and masterclasses.

During the summer of 2014 he played for the New York City Classical Guitar Society. In the same year he was awarded, by the Scientific Committee of the International Competition of Alessandria, the “Michele Pittaluga” prize, and also the prestigious “Chitarra d’oro” for young talent.

During his career, he has won many prestigious international awards including the “Paganini 2012” and the “European Competition of Guitar 2013” and he was awarded a Medal of the President of the Italian Republic.
