Sydney Conservatorium of Music offers you the opportunity to attend a masterclass with acclaimed pianist, Edward Neeman. You are invited to witness him working with talented students, workshopping techniques to perfect their craft in an ‘open lesson’ format.
The Australian-American pianist Edward Neeman is a top prizewinner of numerous international piano competitions, including first prize in the Joaquín Rodrigo Competition in Madrid, second prize in the Southern Highlands International Piano Competition, and third prize in the World International Piano Competition, Dr. Neeman has performed with orchestras including the Sydney Symphony Orchestra, the Melbourne Symphony Orchestra, the Prague Philharmonic, the Madrid Philharmonia, the National Philharmonic Orchestra of Cuba, and the Kentucky Symphony Orchestra. He maintains an active piano duo with his wife, the Indonesian pianist Stephanie Neeman.
Dr Neeman received his Doctorate from The Juilliard School in 2014. He also holds degrees from the Australian National University, Manhattan School of Music, and the College-Conservatory of Music in Cincinnati. He currently lives in Salt Lake City, Utah, and is on the piano faculty of the Utah Valley University.
