The Sydney Conservatorium of Music Viola Ensemble is made up of viola performance majors at the institution, and is directed by Roger Benedict, Principal Viola of the Sydney Symphony Orchestra and a staff member at the Conservatorium. The most mellow and warm-toned of all single-instrument ensembles, they explore a wide range of repertoire, including both original works and arrangements, and their lunchbreak concert will feature familiar baroque and classical works alongside some lighter fare.
