For our fourth Chancellor’s Concert, we invite you to join us for a magnificent program that pays homage to some outstanding women. We’ll be honouring our Chancellor, Belinda Hutchinson AM, our guest for this season opening concert. Professor Anne Boyd AM has composed an amazing new work for us and we will perform the world premiere tonight – Olive Pink’s Garden. Outstanding talented student, Breeanna Moore, will perform Gordon Jacob’s Flute Concerto No. 1. Breeanna was the winner of the 2016 SCM Woodwind Concerto Competition. Finally, we honour Mother Earth, through the work that changed Western music at the beginning of the last century: Igor Stravinsky’s masterpiece, The Rite of Spring.

Read our interview with Professor Anne Boyd AM for more background information about her new composition.

Tickets: $15-$25, University of Sydney staff and students are entitled to a free ticket from one hour prior to the performance, subject to availability
