Discover the music of Wagner, Bach and Schumann and how their music was conducted through the scores, recordings and films of Otto Klemperer, Wilhelm Furtwangler, Herbert von Karajan, Felix Weingartner, Karl Richter and Nikolaus Harnoncourt.
Dr Raymond Holden – the Sir John Barbirolli Reader in Music at the Royal Academy of Music, London – is presenting special workshops in Conducting at the Sydney Conservatorium of Music. Born in Australia, Dr Holden has conducted internationally renowned orchestras including the Philharmonia Orchestra, the Danish Radio Symphony Orchestra and the BBC Symphony Orchestra and has spoken at the world's leading festivals, universities and conservatories including Glyndebourne and Oxford.
