Chamber Works: Brave New World - Australia meets America

Tuesday 11 April 2017
6:30pm

Recital Hall West

Level 1, Sydney Conservatorium of Music Sydney NSW

Strikingly original, dramatic, poignant, humorous, funky, or lusciously lyrical – there is something for every musical palate in the Brave New World. The music of Australia and America boasts an energy and charisma drawn from the position of inherited and transformed cultures. However, identifying a national style based on geography and cultural background alone can be misleading. Each composer featured on the program is fiercely individual, and brings their own unique musical vision to their work. Release this energy through the medium of Voice Clarinet and Piano and the evening promises to be explosive.
