School Tours and Workshops

School Tours and Workshops

Enjoy a one-hour, free guided tour of the Sydney Conservatorium of Music to learn more about our historic venue and the amazing alumni, students and staff who have performed and studied here.

Our professional tour guides will lead you through the Conservatorium, showing you our performance venues, including the historic Verbrugghen Hall – our main concert hall. You will also hear stories of Con alumni, check out the biggest music library in the Southern Hemisphere and learn more about the historical origins of the area –  not only was this the site of the Government stables, there are also remnants of New South Wales’ first bakery underneath Verbrugghen Hall!

We also have a number of school music workshops that we can arrange through our Open Academy if you are interested in a longer visit to the Conservatorium. Please let us know via the booking form if you are interested in a tour and workshop package.
